It has been a busy week so far for the babies. Yesterday they both went in to have their tongues looked at. Evelyn's is looking fine but they want to look at it again in 3 weeks to make sure there is no scar tissue (apparently she will be more prone to it since her frenulum was thicker to begin with). Ben had his clipped more as a preventive measure since it wasn't bothering him as much. His frenulum was less thick than Evie's, meaning the clipping was easier but the Doctor had to go in a second time to make a longer cut. Although he doesn't like sucking on his pacifier as much, he still is eating really well and seems to be recovering faster than Evie did. He is going in with his sister in 3 weeks to have a follow up.
Today Ben had an appointment at the apnea clinic to have his monitor data analyzed. They decided to take the monitor off which we are very happy about. He did have two apnea alarms in the past month according to the data, but during those alarms his breathing was just very slow (not stopped), so the doctor didn't count it against him.
After the apnea clinic, Jessie and Ben met my parents and Evie at their pediatrician for a checkup and some immunizations. They got three shots each and an oral vaccine. Both babies handled it very well, quickly quieting down, although that is the loudest I've ever heard Evie cry. Ben weighed 9 lbs even and was 20 inches long. Evelyn weighed 9 lbs 5 oz and was 20.25 inches.

Wow, that frenulum thing sounds painful! I'm glad all the appointments went well, and especially that Ben can come off the monitor! Such cute pictures, I love the one of both of them together, they are so precious!
