Apnea clinic
Jessie took Ben to the apnea clinic today to look at the data from his monitor. He had some sort of episode on the 14th but nothing since then so they decided to take him off the caffeine. He will still have to wear the monitor for another month to make sure he is fine without any drugs.
Yesterday the babies used their little bathtub for the first time.

Father's Day
On Friday night Ben and Evie stayed home with my family while Jessie and I went to Tomo, our favorite sushi place in town. We hadn't been since Jessie's birthday in 2009 or had any other sort of sushi so it was nice.
For Father's Day everyone came over and had some gumbo.

Pediatrician vist
Ben and Evie went to the pediatrician today for a checkup. The doctor wanted to make sure they were gaining weight. Ben now weighs 6 lbs 4 oz (+8 oz in a week) and Evie now weighs 6 lbs 6 oz (+10 oz). The doctor is looking for about 4 oz a week so they did very well. They are both 18.5" long now. They have another appointment in 5 weeks.
In other news, a baby owl moved into the pear tree in our back yard. My dad managed to get a picture.

Pediatrician visit
The babies had their first pediatrician visit yesterday. All the doctor really did was look over their information from their hospital visit and weigh them. They both weigh about 5 lbs 12 oz right now.
We have an appointment on June 22 to go in to have Ben's monitor data checked. We were told that the clinic may be busy and wouldn't be able to get us in for 4-6 weeks so we are very happy getting in ahead of schedule. I expect that he will be taken off the caffeine after this visit. His alarm has only gone off twice, once when we pulled off a lead while changing him (obviously a false alarm) and once when he was sitting in the swing. It only beeped for a second and then stopped, which indicated that the situation was resolved. The lights indicated that it was an apnea (stopped breathing) but no bradycardia (heart rate drop).
