At our 8:00 visit they were sleepy and not as hungry but were doing fine. Evie finally woke up when we were getting ready to leave and got the hiccups. We were discharged so we just needed to get escorted out. We left the hospital around 10:45.
6/1 8:00 AM
We made it into the NICU around 8:20. We noticed Evie didn't have a tube sticking out of her forehead because both of their IVs are out! Their cannulas are still on 1L/minute. Ben's was at 21.9%, which is about room level, and I couldn't find Evie's monitor. Ben breastfed for over 15 minutes and then drank 20 mL of bottled breast milk. We forgot the milk we had pumped at night at home so then he had a little bit of formula. Evie tried breastfeeding for about 5 minutes and then had her half of the bottled milk plus a little formula. I checked their weight charts and they have both stopped losing weight. Ben gained 2 oz and Evie stayed the same. It looks like all they have to do now is get off the breathing tubes.
